COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT (CSBG)

The Division of Community Development manages two grants related to public services. The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) provides annual grants to develop viable communities by providing funding for decent housing, suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for low and moderate income persons. The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) provides grants for programs, services and activities that alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty in communities. These encompass employment, education, financial literacy, housing, nutrition, emergency services and/or health issues.
