News Media Relations Policy

Jersey City Division of Communications is committed to maintaining fair, transparent, and timely communication with the news media and the public. The Division provides access to information about City operations, announcements, and official statements while ensuring equitable treatment of all media representatives, including traditional news outlets, digital publications, independent journalists, and bloggers. Media access is provided without discrimination or retaliation based on previous coverage, subject to reasonable operational and security considerations. All media inquiries should be directed to the Division of Communications, while public records requests should be submitted through the City Clerk’s Office. The Division reserves the right to amend or update this policy as needed.
