New Jersey Citizen Action is holding a Home of Her Own: Women's Housing Initiative, a free first-time homebuyer seminar, on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. The seminar will provide participants with information on the homebuying process, avoiding housing discrimination and predatory lending scams, the availability of NJCA's free HUD-certified first-time homebuyer counseling service, and how to take advantage of affordable mortgage products and downpayment assistance programs for low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers.
