JC Shovels 


 JC Shovels is a volunteer driven initiative that aims to help low-income seniors and disabled homeowners with snow removal. This initiative looks to better the quality of life for all Jersey City residents. In helping clear snow off walkways for senior and disabled homeowners, we better the walkability for all residents and insure that senior and disabled residents can safely enter and exit their homes during inclement conditions.

Seniors that are requesting shoveling assistance this winter through the JC Shovels program can request an application by calling 201-547-4391 or downloading one here.

Completed applications must be received by 1/3/17 and mailed to:

Jersey City Department of Public Works, 13-15 Linden Ave. East, 3rd Floor, Jersey City NJ 07305 

All applications are reviewed to determine eligibility. Seniors will receive confirmation letters via mail or e-mail upon application approval.
