Description
The City of Jersey City is an "Equal Employment Opportunity" Employer. The Division of Workforce Management is within the Department of Human Resources. The Division is responsible for employee records and the administration of all federal, state, county and local public employment programs, unless otherwise provided by law, including but not limited to the recruitment, selection and development of employment opportunities and operating policies; enforcement of personnel laws and regulations established by the NJ Commission on Civil Service; review of job structures, employee evaluations, training and experience qualifications; coordination of employment, training and development programs; investigation and resolution of labor, discrimination, hostile work environments and sexual harassment complaints using federal, state and local regulations and, implementation of the City's Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual..
