Jersey City Redevelopment Agency (JCRA)

Originally established pursuant to law N.J.S.A. 40:55C-1 et seq., the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency now operates pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12-11, which permits a municipality, by ordinance, to acquire real property for use in conformity with both the zoning ordinance and master plan of the municipality.

 The Jersey City Redevelopment Agency / City of Jersey City are applying for US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Grants funding to clean up sites within Jersey City. Copies of the grant proposals, including the draft EPA-required Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives documents that are part of the applications, are available for public review and comment here.
