If you are homeless in Jersey City, before doing anything else you should contact Garden State Episcopal's Hudson CASA Coordinated Entry Program at (201) 604-2600 ext.0.

You can also visit Hudson CASA Coordinated Entry's drop-in site at 514 Newark Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306. They are open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. After 4 p.m., contact a shelter directly.


The Division of Community Development supports the preservation of short- and long-term facilities and services for persons who are homeless. We administer the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs. The City of Jersey City also serves as the Vice Chair to the Continuum of Care (CoC), also known as the Hudson County Alliance to End Homelessness.
